Tambaldeg and Mithbav Beach
Beach · Devgad, Sindhudurg
A long, quiet stretch of sand between the villages of Tambaldeg and Mithbav in Devgad taluka, away from the crowds.
South of Devgad and Kunkeshwar, the coast opens into a long, quiet beach shared by the villages of Tambaldeg and Mithbav. Casuarina trees line the back of the sand, fishing boats rest on the shore, and on most days you will meet more fishermen than tourists.
The beach is wide and gently sloping, good for long walks and for watching the sunset. The villages behind it are small and traditional, with coconut and mango orchards, and the local creek adds birds and mangroves to the scenery.
There are a few homestays in the villages, and Kunkeshwar temple and Devgad town are a short drive away for food and supplies.
There are no lifeguards; swim only in calm, shallow water and stay out of the sea in the monsoon.
