Bhogwe Beach
Beach · Kudal, Sindhudurg
A quiet, unspoilt beach near Nivati where the Karli river meets the sea, facing the Devbag sandbar across the water.
Bhogwe is a small village on the coast of Kudal taluka, and its beach is often described as one of the most untouched in Sindhudurg. Soft white sand, coconut palms and clear water make it feel far from the busier beaches, even though Devbag and Tarkarli are just across the river mouth.
From Bhogwe you look across the Karli estuary at the Devbag sandbar, and boats sometimes cross between the two sides. The beach is long and usually almost empty, which makes it ideal for a slow walk or simply sitting under the trees.
The village has a few homestays and small eating places, and the Nivati fort and beach are close by, so Bhogwe works well as a quiet base.
There are no lifeguards. Stay in shallow, calm water and keep away from the river mouth, where currents are strong.
